For those of you who don’t know, I spent August through October back in Gainesville serving as a serve team lead for this fall’s training camp.  I’ll spare you the long story of how I ended up serving in this position, but through seeking the Lord in where He wanted me and lots of prayer (and a tad bit of hesitation) I landed back in Gainesville to help with training camp, and it was,. without a doubt, where the Lord wanted me in that season. I’ve been seeing recently how the Lord works in some special ways to get you exactly where He wants you, all you have to do is seek Him and His will and say yes to whatever that is.

It was truly a WILD ride. I learned a lot, I laughed a lot, I worked a lot, I cried a lot, we worshiped a lot, we celebrated the Lord a lot, I got to see the Lord move a lot, I drove to the Atlanta airport a lot, I made spreadsheets and documents a lot, and I did A LOT of random tasks. There’s really no good way to explain my role and what I actually did on the day to day, but-big picture-I got to play a part in equipping and sending missionaries, what an honor.

It was an incredibly BUSY two months, but it really was such a blessing. In this season:

-I got to see the growth and fruit from lessons I learned on the field

-I got to see the Lord move in a lot of people’s lives and watch people grow in their relationship with Him

-I learned more of the Father’s heart

-the Lord has given me some pretty cool lifelong friendships

-I got the opportunity to meet a lot of people and hear their testimonies from their time on the field

I could go on and on, but long story short, I’ve been learning that there’s a lot of blessing in obedience.

During this season, the Lord reminded me to keep the main thing the main thing. He’s the main thing. It’s easy to get distracted by all the things that need to get done, especially in a busy season, but He wants our relationship not finished tasks, even what those tasks are ministry. We don’t want to miss Him in the midst of doing all these things for Him. I was reminded of Martha and Mary in Luke 10 a lot, I learned to sit at His feet even in the midst of the chaos of things needing to be done around me, because He’s what matters. I forever want to stay captivated by Him and what He’s done and is doing rather than obsessing over what I can do for Him.

Out of this time came so many testimonies of the Lord moving. People walked into more freedom, more surrender, and deeper relationship with Him. Over 150 young adults got equipped to live life on mission-overseas and back here. I’m beyond excited for all the squads we sent out-I’m excited to see the Gospel spread, I’m excited for them to experience and walk in more, I’m excited for them to learn a deeper understanding of living missionally, I’m excited for them to walk into more surrender and see the true LIFE that comes from it. These two months were only the beginning for them and it was an honor to get to be a part of that.

What a privilege it is to partner with Him and what He’s doing through this program.

Life with Jesus is truly the best.
